The space
Voted in the , " The Week " magazine as one of the , " Homes with the best views of Mt Sopris ! "! Tons of perks, open spaces with vaulted ceilings; the Cabin also has an awesome wrap- around porch for relaxing , star-gazing or cooking out! The Ranch is home to 7 happy rescued horses just feet from your windows.
The outdoor spa area located at the main Cabin ( shared area ) has a crystal energized / mineral hot tub , large bear-claw bath tub, SHARED SPACE .
You can arrange a time with the horses for one-on-one healing, help with basic 101 horse care, grooming and working with a rescued horse. Also, we DO NOT offer trail rides, we have horses for on-property interaction. Angel's Camp enables those who want equestrian healing, for free. It's not an experience on airbnb, just the chance to be around great rescued friendly horses. If Ashley is here she will do the horse yoga, but in the winter it's not always available due to slippery snow.
You can join in Yoga by the fire inside our Chalet style home with a magical view. let ash your host know if want to do yoga :)
Please keep in m ind as the Holidays approach, we also will be going out and about as well, therefor we are adding a SELF CHECK IN , in case we are celebrating too !
Staying here on Angels Camp helps pay for the feed and care of our 7 horses. Some of our Horses are in Arizona at Penny's Bunkhouse in Apache Junction , another great Farm Stay we offer on airbnb. Thank you for your support and we hope you love your stay !
The Ranch hands live in the Chalet , but just close enough for any of your horse activity needs or to share good 'ol stories by the campfire! If you want a stargazing campfire, give us a morning notice and at 6 we will set your wood up, all you gotta do is light it. P. s and we don't charge for the wood ... feel free to grill out by the campfire or just enjoy some good 'ol marshmallows .. we provide those also. We will let you now if there is a call on Bon-fires and absolutely no fires on windy nights.
There are two ranch dogs that protect the property DRIVE SLOW :) please However, they will not be on your porch unless you you allow them or feed them chicken... :) just friendly loving pups !! :) Don't feed them please.. lol
We kindly ask if you are bringing your own Dog you follow our Camp doggie rules listed below.
There is an extra security and cleaning fee for those traveling with dogs. The fee is 50 dollars; it goes to our cleaning lady for the extra time /work from pet clean-up. It's ok if they are not on a leash but you must accompany your Dog and pick up. If you decide to walk down the dirt road, they must be leashed and be sure to stay on the Angels Camp road so not to enter onto neighboring farms. The Host can show you the way to the BLM trails ...as well. You must crate your Dogs if you leave the Cabin. Pets are not allowed on the furniture for obvious reasons. Thank you. There are extra doggie blankets in the main closest if you need.
We love all animals, are not hunters nor do we promote animals for entertainment in any form.
We often have cookouts by , " Bud's Campfire ", you are welcome to join in the fun.
The Cabin is next to the barn: watching the horses let out in the mornings will take your breath away.
"Angel's Cabin ", is your private cabin , the entire living space of the cabin is on the second level above a three car garage, where you feel on top of the World! Below there is the private Cowboy Lounge for drinking whiskey or smoking if desired. ( Cowboy's Smoking Lounge" ) BYOW ...
Guest access
We have a private entrance to the national forest. Just follow the trail off the property for a day of hiking or mountain biking. Hike up in the national Forest, there will be plenty of snow for the adventures type... horse shoes included... no charge. Social distancing at it's best, close to town with a surreal view.
Ashley our host often does yoga , you are invited to join, it's not an experience paid event , it's just a kind gesture from our Host ! During winter months morning yoga is practiced in front of a warm fireplace in a large room with an a-frame window from floor to ceiling; showcasing the 13er, Mt.Sopris. The hot tub is attached to the main house, your host will show you the way when you check in.
The hot tub is SHARED with guest in the Doe Eye's suite. You must check with the host for availability time of use. Hours are from 7 am till 9;30 pm, if no guests are staying in the Doe Eye's suite you may stay later at night to star gaze, but is considered quite hours for the precious wildlife we love so much.
Expect deer, elk and wild turkey sightings during your stay on Angel's Camp !
Other things to note
You can Mountain bike off the property into the forest and there is a tons of space for a trailer if you bring dirt bikes for other trails in Carbondale ,just a hop-skip and a jump away. We can help lead you in the right direction.
